i-dle’s (formerly (G)I-DLE) Shuhua Shocks With Public Update Featuring Former Member

i-dle‘s (formerly known as (G)I-DLE) Shuhua has unintentionally (or very intentionally, according to some fans) reignited one of K-pop’s most sensitive topics after posting a casual photo that appears to include former member Seo Soojin’s hand.

In a carousel uploaded on September 29, 2025, with the caption “daily life,” Shuhua included a photo of a BBQ dinner. A hand can be seen grilling the meat.

Fans immediately recognized it as Soojin’s hand, thanks to her recognizable tattoo.

Soojin withdrew from the group in 2021 after being accused of school bullying and alleged conflicts with classmates. The controversy exploded across online communities, leading Cube Entertainment to announce her departure despite Soojin firmly denying the allegations.

Following her departure, i-dle continued activities as five members, while Soojin remained out of the spotlight for a long period before re-emerging as a solo artist — but she has stayed completely separate from the group in the public eye. Now, Shuhua’s post has reopened conversations people thought had settled. Some fans are thrilled to see their friendship still intact, praising Shuhua for not distancing herself despite the past controversy.
