A second-generation K-Pop girl group member has left fans overjoyed with her latest social media update, hinting at her return as a singer.

The idol in question is Krystal from the beloved second-gen girl group f(X)!

While Krystal has made a significant mark in the industry as an actress in the last few years, her music career has been stagnant ever since f(X) got inactive. But on September 26, KST, she surprised fans with an unexpected update and posted a photo of a recording booth, looking over a lush greenery through a window. Since there was no caption explaining what the picture was supposed to be about, fans started speculating that she was teasing her comeback.

Later, her agency Beasts and Natives posted some more photos, showing Krystal in the recording booth, further validating the speculations.

Given that Krystal has previously mentioned working on a solo album, these photos have teased fans’ anticipation even more. Krystal was last active as a singer when f(x) was still making music, and it has been ten years since their last release. In 2017, there was a rumor about Krystal’s debut as a soloist but her then agency, SM Entertainment, had refuted them quickly.
