Jennie Teases Collaboration with Dominic Fike, Drops Surprise Music Video Ahead of 'Ruby'

The cat's out of the bag — Jennie has assembled a team of musical Avengers for her upcoming solo album, Ruby.

The laundry list of collaborators — which includes industry giants like Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dua Lipa, and Kali Uchis — also includes singer-songwriter Dominic Fike, known for his role as Elliot in the hit show Euphoria.

The track, "Love Hangover," will be the album's second single, following the worldwide release of "Mantra," which climbed its way to spot #98 on Billboard's Hot 100 upon release in October.

Jennie released a teaser for the upcoming single, slated for release on January 31 at 12 AM EST.

The BLACKPINK superstar, evidently, has been busy with roll-out preparations (and an upcoming Coachella set), dropping a surprise music video for the track "Zen" on January 25.

A quick peek at the MV reveals a kaleidoscope of concepts, as Jennie dons headpiece after headpiece, vampy avant-garde feather dresses, all-black leather attire, and even rocks a sleek blonde bob at one point.

A closer listen to the track's lyrics, and the megastar's statement of intent makes itself obvious.

"Nobody gon' move my soul, gon' move my aura, my matter / Nobody gon' move my life, gon' touch my goal, my matter / Nobody gon', all this power make them scatter
No, nobody gon' touch my soul, gon' match my glow, like, I dare you," she sings, commanding an undulating army of followers with a wave of an arm.

And while it's difficult to pinpoint one coherent album concept or theme from the video alone, the singer has said, aptly, that the project is her most ambitious yet, in an effort to completely "reinvent" herself.

"I intend to complete myself as Jennie Ruby-Jane, for that to be a whole person, in a way," she said in an interview with Billboard.

"You'll definitely know what I mean once the album drops, but because I'm playing with a lot of different genres and elements — I'm rapping here, I'm singing here, I'm harmonizing here, I'm talking here ... The overall sound was me making sure I like every single [song].

Ruby is slated to drop March 7, under Columbia Records Jennie's label Odd Atelier.
