The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC Philippines) has once again been named one of the world’s most outstanding Korean Cultural Centers, securing back-to-back recognition for its excellence in cultural programming and public engagement.
The announcement was made during the 2026 Overseas Korean Cultural Center Directors and Cultural Attachés Conference, held March 10–13 and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This annual gathering unites directors and cultural attachés from Korean Cultural Centers worldwide to share best practices, strengthen cultural diplomacy, and shape future strategies to promote Korean culture internationally.
Out of dozens of centers globally, KCC Philippines was among six honored for exceptional performance, innovative programming, and meaningful cultural impact within their communities. The recognition reflects the Center’s ongoing efforts to bring Korean culture closer to Filipinos through diverse initiatives in arts, language, cuisine, film, and lifestyle.
Director Kim Myeongjin shared his gratitude, saying:
“This recognition is a meaningful reminder of the strong cultural connection between Korea and the Philippines. We share this achievement with our Filipino partners and audiences, and it inspires us to continue creating programs that bring our cultures closer together.”
Over the past year, the Center has expanded its reach with dynamic programs engaging a wide spectrum of audiences—from K-pop and K-drama fans to students, artists, and cultural practitioners. These initiatives not only celebrate Korean culture but also foster deeper cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Korea and the Philippines.
Looking ahead to 2026, KCC Philippines will elevate its offerings under the theme “Culture in Motion”, presenting regional festivals, new exhibitions, and a series of performances designed to connect communities and inspire audiences nationwide.
This latest recognition stands as both a milestone and a motivation for KCC Philippines—to keep culture moving, bridging people and creating shared experiences that transcend borders.
