Korean Netizens React To YG’s Recent BLACKPINK Comeback Announcement Plans

Fans were frustrated.

On May 26, YG Entertainment posted a video relating to the plans for artists under the label.

Yang Hyun Suk shared that BABYMONSTER will release a mini album in the fall, while TREASURE will begin a world tour in October.

He also announced the long-awaited news of the girl group BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK will stand in front of fans for the first time in a long time. Although there is no confirmed date yet, we will announce news of BLACKPINK’s new song soon.

In terms of fans’ frustration regarding the delay in album releases, Yang Hyun Suk responded, “To improve this, we have changed a lot of YG’s internal systems.”

However, this short video garnered an explosive response online from domestic and international fans. Out of the eight-minute video, only 10 seconds were used regarding BLACKPINK news.

To this, Korean netizens were baffled that the new song schedule still hasn’t been confirmed, even though the new tour starts on July 5.
