On September 26, actor Ahn Hyo Seop proved his global influence by appearing on CBS News 24/7, becoming the first Korean actor to do so.
CBS, one of the three major networks in the U.S., is considered a highly symbolic and rare case for a Korean actor to conduct a live interview during primetime.

According to his agency, CBS originally planned to invite him to the New York studio, but his upcoming film prevented him from appearing in person. However, they secured a live broadcast despite the time difference and technical limitations.
Throughout the interview, he demonstrated his fluent speaking and remained professional throughout the broadcast.

In the Q&A with CBS, he explained why his work resonated globally: “It’s about accepting yourself. It’s also about facing who we are within us.”
He emphasized, “Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone has things they want to hide or turn back from. Sometimes, the biggest obstacles aren’t the world, but ourselves.”
Regarding the global popularity of Korean culture, he expressed, “When I was young, I never imagined Korean culture would be embraced so globally. Seeing people worldwide singing along to Korean lyrics, learning the language, and being inspired by our films and dramas makes me proud.”

When asked about the sequel, he responded, “The characters have just begun their journey. They’ve already faced many challenges, but there’s still much room for growth.”
He ended the interview by stating, “Personally, I’d love to see Jin Woo again. Please give him back his soul.”
