Mnet’s “MAMA Awards” is under fire for their latest stylistic choice.

Logos from previous years are written out as “MAMA Awards,” preceded by the year.

However, this year’s logo has been written in Hangul as “2025 마마 어워즈” (2025 MAMA Awards) for the very first time.
Korean netizens found the change insincere as the awards show is still being held outside of Korea (this time in Hong Kong). Many believe the change has stemmed from the global popularity of KPop Demon Hunters, thus accusing them of finally embracing and using Korean culture’s growing popularity for “clout.”
