After NewJeans terminated their contracts with ADOR, the quintet comforted their fans Bunnies by opening up on the group's future.
On November 28, the five members — Hanni, Haerin, Minji, Hyein, and Danielle — held an emergency press conference in Seoul to announce their departure from ADOR, saying:
"We would like to inform you that NewJeans will be terminating its exclusive contracts with ADOR at midnight on the 29th."
They then explained what led them to this decision.
"The reason we are leaving ADOR is very simple. NewJeans is an artist under ADOR, and they have a duty to protect our group. However, ADOR has neither the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans."
The "Attention" hitmakers continued to open up about the mental hurt that they got from the label, realizing that they were not gaining anything work-wise and that they were only "wasting their time" under the company.
Following their departure, NewJeans attested to their fandom, Bunnies, that they will not disband, and they also affirmed ambassadorships and brand deals that they will proceed with their activities as scheduled.
NewJeans also hinted that they plan to hold hands with their former CEO Min Hee Jin.
"We want to continue working with CEO Min Hee Jin."

On this day, the quintet departed from South Korea to complete their schedules in Japan and will be returning next week.
However, ADOR insisted that NewJeans is still an artist under the group, as the contract can't be terminated with "broken trust" as a reason.
The company then requested a face-to-face meeting with the members to resolve this matter.
