Popular Actor’s Wife Giddily Reveals His Romantic Nature— Only For Netizens To Bring Up His Cheating Scandal

Actress Lee Min Jung‘s recent remarks about her husband Lee Byung Hun have drawn significant attention from netizens.

In the August 8 episode of KBS 2TV‘s Heart on Wheels, all the cast members sat down together and shared their candid feelings regarding love and relationships.

During this conversation, Lee Min Jung told Ahn Jae Hyun, who is currently single, to let her know when he finds himself a girlfriend. “I’m good at reading people,” Lee claimed, expressing her willingness to help Ahn find the right person for himself.

Lee Min Jung then shared an anecdote from her early romance days with Lee Byung Hun, recalling how he would go running over just to see her for thirty minutes, even if it meant he had to drive for three hours!

She continued, “If someone doesn’t have that level of passion—if they wouldn’t drive three hours just to see me—I’d be like, ‘Why bother?'”

This particular segment of the episode has since gone viral, but not for good reasons. Netizens have mostly reacted to Lee Min Jung’s words negatively, pointing out his cheating scandal from 2014 when Lee Min Jung was pregnant with their first child.

In 2014, Lee was blackmailed for ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.60 million USD) by singer Dahee of the K-Pop girl group GLAM and model Lee Ji Yeon in exchange for not releasing online a video of him making sexual jokes while drinking with them. It was later revealed to be a premeditated extortion attempt by Lee Ji Yeon, with whom Lee Byung Hun was having an affair. She was disgruntled after the actor decided to end the relationship.

The two women eventually received prison sentences for trying to extort the actor. However, the infidelity part of the scandal ruined Lee Byung Hun’s public image for a while. However, the couple eventually reconciled and have been very publicly affectionate with each other ever since. The two welcomed their second child, a daughter, in 2023.
