While the KPop Demon Hunters craze refuses to die down, it looks like a K-Pop group has finally taken them down on the charts!
Recently, K-pop girl group NMIXX garnered much attention online as their new song, “Blue Valentine,” broke the “Golden” streak and took the number one spot on Melon’s Top 100 Chart.
Around 10 PM KST on October 20, “Golden” was still at the number one spot…

…but just an hour later at 11 PM KST, it took over for the number one spot!

The OP expressed their shock, as they felt that NMIXX had struggled to reach a career-high.

“NMIXX’s ‘Blue Valentine’ is the first and only song to break the record of breaking the ‘Golden’ streak.
Even though fans worked hard, I don’t think they expected it to be this much. They were so sincere in their Bubble messages that I could feel their tears through the text. It is really touching that NMIXX broke the record and is not another artist.
It’s so sweet to see KPop Demon Hunters fans congratulating the girls in the comments section.”
However, netizens were divided in their response to the news.

- “Huh? But NMIXX has so many other better songs.”
- “Congrats to them! There hasn’t been any other group that has beaten ‘Golden’ before.”
- “I’m a LE SSERAFIM fan. Congrats to NMIXX!”
- “I’ve never heard of this song ever.”
- “People might think that the song came out the same time as ‘Golden’.”
- “I guess the company now understands how bad their songs have been.”
- “Can’t believe songs like this make it into the Top 10..Melon really has fallen.”
- “It’s so pathetic seeing all the antis making a scene while fans are celebrating their first win.”
