He gained fame as one of Donald Trump’s most vocal defenders, often spreading election misinformation and amplifying divisive culture-war issues in the U.S. While hailed by his supporters, Kirk was widely criticized for fueling intolerance and polarization, making him an extremely controversial figure in American politics.
On social media, Choi Siwon expressed condolences for Kirk’s sudden death, praising him and his influence.

On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot during a “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University, the first stop in his American Comeback Tour. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died.
