A quick one to catchup on the hilarious rapid-fire nature of the releases in March after two slow-ass months to start the year. Like everybody’s shit was compacted and it just released all in one in one gigantic dump, though at least there were some gold nuggets in there.
======
Sandaime J Soul Brothers – “Through The RAIN”
The concept of having the right idea of designating slots for members who can actually sing and then only letting them doing it, but also fucking with their voices to a comical amount to ruin it all. Holy annoying.
——
RESCENE – “Busy Boy”
This became better to me because all I could hear is “bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitchy boy” instead of what it’s supposed to be. That’s exactly what the lyrics should be.
Seriously though, while not as good as the rest of their great discography, it’s for some blockchain IP collab bullshit anyway, so I’m almost relieved.

ARASHI – “Five”
A goodbye song that sounds like it, but it also hits appropriate enough nostalgic and melancholy notes. While I’ll miss their music to some extent, as long as they remain active elsewhere it’ll probably be fine.
——
SUCTION – “Still Hurts”
A comedy project group consisting of Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha, ASTRO’s MJ, actor Kwon Hyuk Soo, and actress Na Hyun Yeong, so I realize the point is the laughs, but somebody really needs to tell these types of efforts that they can make bangers like Crayon Pop and Orange Caramel if they want. It’s not like uniquely bad for these types of tracks, but 90% of them have the same shitty retro base sound that shouldn’t be a requirement.
——
Ayumu Imazu – “Bassline”
I’m frustrated with this, which doesn’t make it bad, but this is probably a catchy chorus away from pop gold, and instead he does the K-pop smolder and dance while talking shit for a chorus. I get it, the bassline is the star, but IT’S ALREADY FEATURED PROMINENTLY. Sing over that shit, fuck me.
——
ALLDAY PROJECT – “I DON’T BARGAIN”
I guess this is what people fuck with nowadays or something, which … alright. But I have to say it’s always funny when the clap back at the haters song is just regurgitated ass.
——
YeoJin (LOONA) – “Sugar Talk”
Does arguably the worst thing one can do when trying to make yet another first impression/new start, which is release something harmless but entirely generic and forgettable.

I swear there’s a bunch of stuff I liked recently, but it takes me a longer time to organize my thoughts on those since I actually care.
