The hardworking colleagues and friends from the K-Pop industry, including my members, are people who genuinely love this work with all their hearts. They get hurt because they care so deeply, and sometimes they feel empty from all that love. Yet, each day, they continue to give and receive love for themselves, for their members, for their families, and for their fans.

I want to make this clear: We do not deserve to be judged so easily, as our paths have not been the easiest or the smoothest to walk. We have experienced pain, faced breakdowns, and fought to overcome challenges, all to show our best selves to our fans on stage.

I hope you won’t take idols lightly.

I believe that there is nothing more difficult yet meaningful than making people smile and giving them enjoyment. With that being said, I feel that through your presence as an artist and through variety shows, you are giving gifts twice —  no, so much more to people. For me, your music especially gives me so much inspiration. It has given me energy, empathy, memories, and at times, comfort. I think it was possible due to how you partake in everything with sincerity. I also want to grow to a point where I can give my sincere self to someone one day. Please continue to watch over me until then. Thank you.
