Shincheonji chairman discovered mobilizing illegal escorts, learning "bed side" during corrective service

Lee Man-hee, the leader of the Shincheonji Church, who was sentenced to 5 years of probation for embezzlements has been discovered disregarding his corrective service.

According to JTBC, the chairman was ordered to complete a law-abiding education program due to what the court described as his "serious disregard for the rule of law." However, his attitude during the education is causing controversy. 

It was revealed that he received the legal education alone, in a government-affiliated facility lecture hall, with a bed set up just for him. 

Even more shocking, when Lee Man-hee traveled by car, followers were mobilized in multiple black vehicles to illegally block traffic signals and escort his vehicle. They reportedly under the rule that "the car Chairman Lee is riding in must not stop." This is the same protocol used to protect the president.

JTBC’s investigative team uncovered these new suspicions surrounding Shincheonji, to be aired on the 6:30 p.m KST on JTBC Newsroom.
