A viral tweet showing attendees being mistreated at a fansign event has left fellow K-Pop fans outraged. The video shows NCT Dream‘s “Shopee Thailand” fansign event held on August 15, 2025.

As fans pass in front of the members, event staff can be seen putting their hands on the fans’ bodies and forcing them to move down the line. At one point, a fan gets pushed away even before they get to one of the members.

Once circulated online, the video triggered some heated responses from K-Pop fans. Given that this is not the first time there have been “mistreatments” at an SM Entertainment idol event, fans are demanding better from the management.

- “I’ve had this happen to me, too. For real, there was a time I couldn’t even say goodbye to the last member. LOL. I went to a world tour and the same thing happened—totally hit with reality. No matter how much you complain, nothing changes. Don’t blame the fans who suffer, blame the company for pulling crap like that. Stop treating people like they’re nothing.”
- “Honestly, where else do you spend money and get treated like that besides in K-Pop fandoms? If you spend as much as a fansign costs at a department store, you’d be treated like royalty.”
- “Even after getting sued, they just pay a fine and go right back to doing it, so what are fans supposed to do? That pink-hat manager… When fans wait at an offline event, they takes pictures… The female staff is always at the airport hauling around super heavy luggage, while that manager just hangs out with the members and then pops up shoving people aside. LOL. Even the last member—at the 1-second “meet and greet,” fans can’t even ask them to pause or come closer. That pink-hat is the real problem.”
- “SM Entertainment again..? Seriously, nothing ever changes there.”
- “Of course, it’s SM Entertainment again. This place will never change.”
- “If they’ve been active for about 10 years, the idols themselves should at least make suggestions in instances like this. It’s always the manager/staff that messes up and the artists get blamed. No wonder nothing changes. It’s not like they just debuted 1–2 years ago—think about your fans. What’s the point of just saying ‘we love you’ if the actions don’t match? And fans, stop shielding the artists just because it didn’t happen to you. Just wait until it happens to you. After seeing that post about Lim Young Woong’s fan treatment yesterday, the comparison is even sharper.”
- “Honestly, why not just set fans on a conveyor belt and let them pass by? That would be better.”
- “Why are they even pulling on people like that?”
- “What’s wrong with them…”
