A Stories update read, “Not long ago, I got to meet Hearts2Hearts members.”

Not long ago, I met Hearts2Hearts members. One of their moms is the same age as me, and the leader is the same age as Heebum. At this rate, I might end up meeting an idol who’s the same age as ‘Sorry, Sorry’…

While the mention of his hoobae K-Pop idol group was interesting enough, the cat picture he used in the update really caught the fans’ attention.

The cat, well known to the fans as Heebum/Heebeom, was born in 2006. Heechul previously shared that he limits the 19-year-old cat’s exposure to cameras to minimize stressful situations that could lead to health complications.

That said, fans have not been able to see Heechul’s cat in a long time—making this cameo particularly special! Seeing Heebum alive and well, fans praised Heechul for taking good care of his pets and hoped the same for their own.

  • “Oh my gosh, so cute!!! Stay healthy and live a long, long life, Heebum.”
  • “Wow, Heebum, it’s been so long…! I can’t believe we’re getting photos of Heebum from Cyworld days to Instagram now. Stay healthy, Heebum!”
  • “Wow, Heebum! I’m so happy to see you. Wishing you a long, healthy life.”
  • “Wow, Heebum, oh my goodness. Hope you get to live long enough to go to college, then get a master’s and PhD, too!”
  • “Long live Heebum!”
  • “Wow, Heebum’s still alive?! I thought at 19 he’d have crossed the rainbow bridge. This is the first time I’ve seen him since Heechul’s Cyworld days. And by the way, Heechul,  I hate to break it to ya but there are already idols who were in 2009.”
  • “Can’t believe Heebum’s still alive. He really took good care of his cat—this is touching.”
  • “Oh, so cute.”
  • I hope my cat lives that long too…”
  • “Raising a cat until 19 years old really makes you see someone differently. I’ve felt so bitter seeing so many celebrities give up their pets because of schedules or moving, so this is truly amazing.”
