So this will come as no surprise to anybody familiar with Super Junior‘s Siwon or his politics, but I just wanted to document his latest political endorsements for the sake of posterity.

If you haven’t heard, former President Yoon Suk Yeol was recently sentenced to life in prison for his coup attempt. Unsurprisingly, Siwon wasn’t much of a fan, posting idioms suggesting the ruling was injustice.

Directly following the ruling, Choi Siwon initially posted the 4-character idiom “Bul-Ga-Sa-Eui (不可思議)” via his Instagram story, which may be translated as “a mystery” or “incomprehensible”.
He then deleted the post and instead wrote out 8 Chinese characters, “Bul-Eui-Pil-Mang, To-Bung-Wa-Hae (不義必方, 土崩瓦解)”, which may be translated literally as “When unjust, one is fated for ruin; the earth is in turmoil, the roofs collapsing,” or more interpretively as “Injustice leads to institutional collapse”.

His intent was a safe assumption given his previous support for the politician (and everything else).

Speaking of everything else, last year during my hiatus, he posted a tribute to Charlie Kirk.

Credit to some fans who are (and have been) calling for him to be kicked out from the group — and who are currently being blocked by him — but honestly if it hasn’t happened by now it likely never will, and there’s a decent chance others in the group don’t even disagree with him.
