THE BOYZ’s JuYeon & IVE’s Rei To Host ‘ASEA 2025’ – Their First Time As MCs!

THE BOYZ’s JuYeon and IVE’s Rei have been selected as the official hosts for ASEA 2025!

The Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 (ASEA 2025), a celebration that unites music, stars, and fans, is set to take place in Tokyo, Japan, on May 28 and 29. On March 19, the ASEA Organizing Committee officially announced that JuYeon and Rei will be hosting the event on the first night, May 28.

This marks the first time JuYeon and Rei will be co-hosting an event together. As two of the leading figures in K-Pop’s global expansion, their synergy is expected to bring excitement and energy to this prestigious event.

JuYeon debuted in 2017 as a member of THE BOYZ, quickly gaining recognition for his outstanding performance skills and stage presence. Over the years, THE BOYZ has secured multiple No.1 titles across albums, digital charts, and music shows. Recently, JuYeon and his fellow members transitioned to ONE HUNDRED, marking a new era for the group. Their third full-length album, “Unexpected”, was released on March 17, introducing a fresh musical identity. In addition to his music career, Juyeon has been making waves in the fashion world, recently attending the Balenciaga show in Paris on March 9, solidifying his status as an irreplaceable fashion icon.

Rei debuted in 2021 as a member of IVE and quickly rose to prominence, winning both Rookie of the Year and Grand Prize awards within just a year. In February, IVE released their third mini-album, “IVE EMPATHY”, featuring the pre-release track ‘REBEL HEART’ and title track ‘ATTITUDE’. The album achieved a Perfect All-Kill on the charts, became a five-time consecutive million-seller, and earned a total of 15 music show wins, demonstrating IVE’s ongoing dominance in the industry. Known for her playful and charismatic personality, Rei has also gone viral with the ‘Raging Guinea Pig’ challenge and showcases her multifaceted charm through her YouTube channel, ‘TtalahebolRei’, solidifying her reputation as an MZ-generation trendsetter.

The Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA) is a prestigious event that brings together top-tier Asian artists and their global fans. The inaugural ASEA 2024, held in April last year, featured Stray Kids taking home three major awards, including Grand Prize (Daesang), along with electrifying performances from TOMORROW X TOGETHER, DAY6, TREASURE, SHINee’s TaeMin, Creepy Nuts, and more.

ASEA 2025 promises an even more spectacular lineup, featuring the most outstanding K-pop and Asian artists who have made significant achievements on the global stage over the past year.

The event is organized by NEWSEN, Korea’s leading entertainment and sports media outlet celebrating its 20th anniversary, and @style, a premier star & style magazine marking its 13th anniversary. ASEA 2025 is managed by the ASEA Organizing Committee and will take place on May 28-29 in Tokyo, Japan.
