The Boyz Sunwoo Attacked by Sasaeng After Using Vehicle Tracker — IST Releases Official Statement

After The Boyz Sunwoo's horrifying encounter with a sasaeng, IST Entertainment announced measures it will take to address this alarming matter.

On November 14, Sunwoo's label belatedly revealed that the idol became a victim of an unfortunate assault incident that took place on the 9th while on his way to their dorm.

Based on the official statement released on The Boyz' website, the idol, who just finished his schedule, went back to their accommodation when he was suddenly attacked by a sasaeng who was hiding on the emergency stairs as he was opening the front door.

Sensing the danger, Sunwoo immediately notified the company's staff, and the sasaeng was fortunately caught and turned over to the police. The attacker is currently being investigated on charges of home invasion and assault.

Sunwoo and the staff, who took multiple beatings while the sasaeng tried to escape, also visited the hospital for examination and other necessary treatment to ensure their health and stability.

In the lengthy statement released by IST, it was then revealed that these stalkers were able to follow Sunwoo, The Boyz in general, after they attached a vehicle tracker in one of the cars the artist used, which was parked in front of the company.

There was also an incident when these sasaengs intentionally messed with their cars and spiked their tires on top of doing many illegal activities (e.g., following their vehicles, unauthorized visits to places related to artist's privacy, etc.) that caused mental and physical struggles to The Boyz, their families, and acquaintances.

As a result, IST Entertainment announced that they would improve security by adding CCTVs as well as take legal action against these acts with no leniency, and said:

"Our company is responding with a zero-tolerance policy to illegal acts, including invasions of privacy, and we will take clear legal action accordingly.

As the acts violating the artist's rights are going too far, we are regularly collecting evidence and reviewing materials through our legal representatives. We would like to inform you once again that there will be no leniency or agreement during this process."
