On August 6, 2025 (KST), The Ghost Game premiered, a thriller K-Movie starring Red Velvet member-turned-actress Yeri (also known as Kim Ye Rim) as one of the leads. Following the successful release, the idol actress appeared on her fellow K-Pop star Girl’s Day Hyeri‘s YouTube channel to share some behind-the-scenes stories.

Talking about the shoot, Yeri revealed the challenges she faced on set—one being all the fake blood she had to work with for her role of Park Ja Young. She noted how, in the summer heat, fake blood wasn’t the best thing to be drenched in.

When I actually got the blood makeup done on myself, I realized it was not easy. The fake blood is made by mixing syrup with corn syrup, and it was summer, so it was hot. And we didn’t have any windows on set.

She went on about how “exhausting” it was to deal with the heat, stickiness, and, inevitably, the swarm of bugs that she attracted. Hyeri, who has also had to wear her fair share of fake blood on set for her previous works, agreed that it is definitely not easy.

Eventually, swarms of mosquitoes and flies started gathering, and it was exhausting trying to catch them on set. That’s not all… The corn syrup in the fake blood makes it sticky, and since we kept filming in the same set, after a while, my feet wouldn’t even come off the floor!
