TWICE's Momo and SNSD's Yoona are notoriously good friends but the two's friendship began with a few exchanges in passing.
Momo shared an anecdote from the early stages of their relationship on the YouTube show "Hyoyeon's Level Up."
Hyoyeon, another member of Girls' Generation, joked that she was finally getting a chance to buy Momo a meal, which reminded the TWICE member of an act of kindness that has always stuck with her.
"When I was in Korea, I went to a meat restaurant. Yoona was having a meal with the staff and we happened to meet," she recalled.
"So I said hello, and later I found out, she had already paid for the meal and left."
After hearing the story, Hyoyeon joked, "You didn't say hello to ask me to buy you food, did you?"
"That's not it," Momo said with a laugh.
"I just wanted to say hello, but I was grateful that she bought me food."
Momo and Yoona have since had many meals together, including one caught on Yoona's vlog update as she attended the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2024 Show at Paris Fashion Week.
The two idols sat next to each other during the show's after-party dinner and made guest appearances on each other's channels.
