3 weeks ago 46

The K-Pop industry is constantly changing and we see this more than ever with the rise of the fifth generation. While newer groups have debuted and are gaining popularity, TWICE has managed to remain together and hold onto their crown as K-Pop’s most beloved idol groups.

They’ve faced many trials, needing to overcome various obstacles, but the JYP girl group was able to persevere and make it to their 10-year anniversary. Since their official debut on October 20, 2015, they’ve been ramping up all year to celebrate it. As a commemoration to these 10 years, the girl group has released a special album “TEN: The Story Goes On” on October 10th (10/10).

TWICE has had numerous defining moments and stages that have led them to become the worldwide sensation we see in front of us today.

Here are 10 of TWICE’s iconic live stages to look back on their storied career.

1. Debut Stage With ‘Like Ooh-Ahh’

It feels only right to go back to the beginning when TWICE’s story first started. Earlier that year, the girls came out on top of JYP survival program “Sixteen” and officially became members of TWICE. Through this stage, they finally made their dreams come true and greeted the world as bright-eyed idols for the first time.

2. Going Viral With ‘Cheer Up’

Their debut was explosive and took little time to rest before coming out with the smash hit ‘Cheer Up’. Through their bubbly charms and addictive lyrics (“Shy, shy, shy”), TWICE quickly went viral. While promoting this track, they became one of the nation’s most beloved girl groups.

3. Becoming A Phenomenon With ‘TT’

Looking back at TWICE’s early days, to say they were busy would be an understatement. Their schedule was packed and didn’t allow the momentum to die down. In the same year as ‘Cheer Up’, TWICE returned with ‘TT’ which cemented them at the top of the K-Pop industry.

4. A Hit For Every Season With ‘Dance The Night Away’

At this point, TWICE had released songs during the spring, autumn, and winter. With ‘Dance The Night Away’, TWICE proved that they can release a hit for every season. Even now, years later, ‘Dance The Night Away’ continues to pop up on K-Pop fans’ summer playlists. And it was an added plus to see the song performed at “2018 KCON LA”.

5. Turning Heads At “2018 MAMA”

This 10-minute performance at “2018 MAMA” had everything fans could ask for. It featured a powerful intro, a stunning compilation of TWICE’s hit tracks, on-stage outfit changes, and so much more. Even years later, fans look back at this performance and proudly refer to it as the girls’ best MAMA stage ever.

6. ‘I CAN’T STOP ME’ On “The Late Show”

In 2020, the entire world came to a halt due to COVID-19, but that didn’t deter the K-Pop industry one bit – including TWICE. Through this pre-recorded performance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” TWICE made their U.S. television debut. True to the song title, it felt like nothing could stop TWICE on their journey to captivate the world.

7. Making Their Live U.S. Television Debut

Coming full circle, TWICE once again returned to “The Late Show”, but this time it was in person. This marked their live U.S. television debut, a reflection of their growth and popularity outside of Korea. With the Hallyu Wave bigger than ever, TWICE were one of the groups leading the charge.

8. Serving Vocals With ‘Strategy’

By now, TWICE have established their global presence and could sell out entire stadiums across the globe. Yet, they’ve never forgotten where they started. Appearing on “The Seasons: Lee YoungJi’s Rainbow” is a reflection of their growth, taking on more mature concepts and delivering with incredible live vocals.

9. Headlining “Lollapalooza”

2025 has been a celebration of TWICE’s 10-year career, and what better way to celebrate than to become a headliner for a world renowned music festival. They made history as the first K-Pop girl group to headline “Lollapalooza” and performed a set that surpassed expectations. Leading up to the event and weeks after, everyone was talking about TWICE and their legendary performance.

10. Kicking Off “THIS IS FOR” World Tour

Shortly after dropping their fourth album, “THIS IS FOR”, TWICE kicked off their newest world tour with the same name. Through this official uploaded performance from their Incheon concert and various fan accounts, TWICE had leveled up, ready to dominate the stage and have fun in the process.

These ten performances barely cover the surface of TWICE’s illustrious career – but it’s a start. Not every K-Pop group can last ten years in the industry, but TWICE constantly prove that they’re here to stay for the long run.
