As Mnet’s Boys Planet 2 officially started airing, the contestants and performances have begun garnering much attention online.
The show has received a massive response from fans worldwide, with high-quality performances and unexpected contestants.
However, one contestant in particular went viral on online community sites after appearing on the show.
Contestant Lee Leo, a Korean-Australian trainee under GRID Entertainment and a former member of the pre-debut group Trainee A, was hit with backlash for his past rap lyrics.

K-Netizens were disappointed and felt that he wasn’t suited to become an idol.

- “This reminds me of RM’s misogynistic lyrics…it’s rare to find idols that don’t write these types of lyrics.”
- “What kind of lyrics is this? It has no meaning and is just trash.”
- “Why are so many people who shouldn’t be idols trying to be one?”
- “It feels like many Big Hit Music idols, like BTS, write lyrics like this when they are trainees.”
- “How are you going to defend something like this?”
- “Isn’t this the reason why he ended up not debuting?”
Meanwhile, another contestant received an unexpected response for his performance.
