Yves’ Reaction Towards Alleged Sasaengs At Aiports Triggers Mixed Opinions

Former LOONA member Yves made waves online with her recent behavior at an airport.

When being filmed by fans, she held up her phone showing the word “fool” and smiled.

Netizens had mixed reactions to the moment. Some believed that this was Yves’ way of showing her disapproval of sasaeng fans that follow her in the airport.

However, others found that based on the context (including her word choice and smile), that Yves was simply being playful with her fans.

(Note: Whether you call yourself a ‘fan’ or not, it should not be viewed as ‘normal’ or ‘cute’ to follow idols to the airport to record them. I have seen too many videos of idols looking stressed or uncomfortable because of fans swarming or staring at them in airports. Yves may be jokingly calling them an idiot but it should be taken seriously. Idols are humans who deserve some modicum of privacy and respect outside of official schedules that fans can attend.
