The group — now a mix of two original and four brand-new members — recently dropped their new mini album PRISM EP.01 and opened up about the struggles faced during their hiatus.

The long break brought big changes to the lineup. Original members Won Chae and Ah Yoon stayed, keeping the group’s identity intact, while four new members — Kiirii, Seo Vin, Jin Yul, and Seo Ha — joined.

Seo Vin and Jin Yul were both contestants on SBS’s idol survival show Universe Ticket. Seo Vin said she auditioned after the program while debating her future, and Jin Yul shared she had to put her debut dreams on hold before getting this chance.

The youngest, Seo Ha, is a first-year high school student making her debut, while Kiirii, from Thailand, has prior experience in another girl group. She was about to return home before joining Queenz Eye and hopes to follow in the footsteps of other Thai K-Pop idols like BLACKPINK’s Lisa and i-dle’s Minnie.

Since late last year, the six members have been living together to prepare for the comeback. The album features three tracks — “Feel the Vibe,” “ACHA!,” and “TRIPPIN.” The title song is a bright, retro-inspired summer track with a hopeful message about new beginnings. Won Chae and Ah Yoon even contributed to the lyrics, wanting to convey both healing from the past and embracing the future.

Queenz Eye was previously known for their fun stage presence, and the group says they now want to focus on truly enjoying their performances. Their main goal for this comeback is to win first place on a music show, but they’re also setting their sights on long-term achievements like making it onto the Billboard charts.
