Recently, EXO released a photo online on September 8, reminiscent of a lunar eclipse, with the text “DECEMBER 2025.”

The poster also included the phrase, “WHEN WE BECOME TRUE ONE, A NEW WORLD AWAKENS,” based on the group’s storyline.

However, the poster went viral on online community sites as many netizens felt that the design looked similar to BLACKPINK‘s poster.

Many felt that the design and angle were too similar to say that they were different.

• “Where’s the inclination and center line? If the EXO teaser had used a straight line instead of that inclination, people wouldn’t be saying anything.”
• “The design is completely unrelated, and to someone not interested in either group, they look identical and not just similar. I don’t understand the claim that it resembles a lunar eclipse. No matter how I look at the images others post, I can’t help but think that they look the same.”
