A 3rd generation K-Pop idol has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry, stating she will lead a normal life.
On the 16th, the decision of retirement from show business was posted via Instagram by Kwon Eunbin from CLC.

She began by saying, “I felt it was only right to personally share my current situation and decision with everyone who has supported me.”
Reflecting on nearly 10 years in the industry, she expressed, “The overwhelming love and support from fans made every moment happy, and I am truly grateful,” but added, “After much contemplation, I have decided to live as an ordinary person.”
Kwon Eunbin also explained the reasons behind her decision to leave the entertainment world.
Looking back, she confessed, “Most of the time, I was plagued not by passion or love for the work but by emptiness and anxiety about the present and future.”
She continued, “I have spent regrettable time avoiding these negative emotions without efforts to overcome and grow. For years, I wasted precious time on meaningless relationships that offered no benefit or substance.”
She expressed deep regret over her past naivety and time lost, stating, “Now, I have decided to leave all those negative times and feelings behind and use my time pursuing a better and happier future.”
Kwon Eunbin shared that “these days, I am experiencing a time filled with more fresh and happy emotions than ever,” and added, “I will no longer accept any personal messages or questions and will cherish only the grateful feelings sent my way.”
She plans to exit the entertainment industry after fulfilling scheduled overseas activities with CLC. To her fans, she left a final message: “I sincerely thank you for all the support you have given me and wish you all happiness.”
Last month, on the 22nd, Kwon Eunbin terminated her exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment and reportedly requested the removal of her profile from portal sites and online wiki platforms such as Namuwiki.
Kwon Eunbin first gained recognition through Mnet‘s audition program Produce 101 in 2016 and debuted the same year by joining the group CLC. Since then, she also pursued acting.
