In response to show host Huh Young Man‘s question about how long she has been a part of Running Man, Jeon So Min reminisced about her time on the show. She noted that, while she was given a “character” to play and stuck to it most of the time, she still had a good time on the show.

Huh Young Man: You were on Running Man for quite a long time, right?”

Jeon So Min: Yes. I appeared twice as a guest, and then was offered a regular spot. I stayed on the show for about seven years. Given how entertainment shows work, I was given a character. Still, it was my happy place. It was such a good workplace.

Then, she addressed the painful cyber bullying that the show brought upon her. Jeon So Min admitted that through Running Man she received as much hate as love, and that it led to her burnout.

I received a lot of love, but there were also many hateful comments. Of course, other people get hate comments too, but if there’s a reason behind them, I would reflect deeply. In my case, there was no apparent reason. It just felt baseless.

After going through that kind of experience repeatedly, I realized I needed someone/somewhere to lean on. Somewhere to rest. That made me want to get married sooner—I wanted to have someone I could truly rely on.
