Netflix has officially greenlit a second season of Better Late Than Single, the breakout Korean dating makeover show that captured hearts with its refreshingly sincere portrayal of first-time romance.
The series follows motae-solos—a Korean term for lifelong singles—as they navigate the emotional highs and lows of their very first relationships.
Praised for its heartfelt storytelling and relatable cast, Season 1 drew widespread acclaim for spotlighting the awkward yet endearing journey of individuals experiencing love for the first time. From shy introductions to transformative moments of vulnerability, the show resonated deeply with viewers across generations.
Director Kim Noh-eun, who returns for Season 2, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support: “Thanks to all the encouragement and love, we’re thrilled to bring the show back. We look forward to meeting new singles who are ready to take their first brave steps into love.”
With casting now underway, anticipation is building around which new motae-solos will step into the spotlight. Season 2 is expected to continue the show’s signature blend of emotional depth, humor, and genuine connection, offering another round of romantic firsts that promise to tug at viewers’ heartstrings.
Netflix has yet to announce a release date for the new season.
