BLACKPINK Producer Launches Independent Label, i-dle’s Soyeon Joins For Debut Track

The two have worked up a storm!

i-dle‘s Soyeon continues to make strides even outside of her group activities as a solo artist, and her upcoming project is with one of the biggest hitmakers of K-Pop.

R.Tee, the producer behind BLACKPINK‘s “Playing With Fire,””Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That,” BIGBANG‘s “Fxxk It,” Jeon Somi‘s “Fast Forward,” and many more hits by YG Entertainment artists, has launched his independent label, RSTS Label. The first release under this label already has Soyeon’s seal of approval on it.

The song, “Damdadi,” will mark the official arrival of RSTS Label in the K-Pop world, along with R.Tee as a singer. The pop-house genre track is based on a 1980s song by the same name. It will reinvent the classic vibe with lively funk grooves, hip-hop beats, and Soyeon’s distinctive rap style.

R.Tee mentioned that his intent with this song was to preserve the original’s playfulness while creating a sound that will resonate with the current generation of listeners.

The rollout also features a music video featuring Soyeon, and from the teasers, it seems to follow an office concept with a playful take on it.

The song and the music video will be out on August 10, 6 pm KST.
