BLACKPINK‘s Jennie is setting new standards every day since the release of her solo album, Ruby.

Ruby has enjoyed widespread appreciation from fans and critics alike. The album even received a high rating on Pitchfork, which is notorious for its tight-handed scoring.
On March 12, Pitchfork released a detailed review of Jennie’s album and gave it a score of 7.1. Among avid readers, a seven or above score by the publication is often considered extremely high.
In fact, with Ruby, Jennie has bagged the highest score among all K-Pop soloists that have been reviewed by Pitchfork to date. She surpassed her BLACKPINK groupmates Lisa and Rosé, who scored 5.2 and 5.5, respectively, for their latest solo albums. Jennie also outdid BLACKPINK’s best score by Pitchfork, which was 6.5 for their 2022 album, Born Pink.
Netizens are also in agreement with the rating, with many praising how replay-worthy the entire record is.
