Entire K-Pop Tour Leg Cancelled 2 Weeks After Ticket Sales, Scam Accusations Surface

He expressed his regrets to fans.

K-Pop soloist Wonho‘s North American tour has been cancelled.

On October 21, Highline Entertainment posted a notice that Wonho’s STAY AWAKE: North America tour had been cancelled in its entirety. The notice stated that the cancellation was related to issues with the local promoter, including “unexpected internal adjustments and administrative delays.”

The tour was announced in late September, with tickets going on sale to the general public on October 6 and was to include 11 different cities across the continent.

Following the notice, Wonho shared messages on a fan chatting platform, apologizing for the announcement and expressing extreme regret over the cancellation.

With the mention of administrative issues involving documents, many have assumed that the visas needed would not be issued in time leading to the cancellation, rather than issues with ticket sales. Many have attacked the local promoter, accusing it of being a “scam.”
