Organized by Ovation Productions Philippines, the event showcased the actor’s immense charm, versatility, and heartfelt appreciation for his supporters.

The 38-year-old actor set the mood for the night by serenading his fans with his cover of The One’s Best Wishes to You. After introducing himself to the crowd, he quickly followed up with his version of Kim Bum Soo’s “I Miss You.”

Fan concerts aren’t complete without games and Choi Jin-hyuk also got to experience it in the Philippines. He played games such as flipping bottles and transferring monggo beans from one plate to another using chopsticks only. He was able to win these games, avoiding the consequence of either eating balut or dancing to Bruno Mars and Rosé’s hit song, APT.

Date with the Chemistry Master

After the games and some fan interactions, the actor sat down again to delve deeper into his career, works, and acting processes. He’s also asked about the chemistry he has with his co-actors.

When asked about Jung Eunji who acted beside him in Miss Night and Day, he answered, “Eunji is my brother now. She’s actually very kind and a great actress. When we first saw each other, we got so close to the point that we’re like brothers already.” to which the crowd responded positively.

A lucky fan was then picked from the audience to re-enact an almost kiss scene between Choi and Jung in Miss Night and Day.

Question & Answer with Choi Jin-hyuk

Choi’s fans whose questions got picked got up on the stage for a one-on-one with the actor where he answered one question from each of the fans.

One fan asked, “Of all the K-dramas you starred in, what character resembles you the most in real life?” And Jin-hyuk answered “I think the personality that I have in real life is pretty similar to Oh Changmin (Emergency Couple).

A Show of Versatility

The actor performed a couple more songs towards the end that kept the crowd engaged and cheerful. He performed a cover of Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You,” Day6’s “Time of our Life,” and Lee HongKi’s “I’m Saying. ” To close the show, he performed an unreleased song he recorded specifically for the fan concert in the Philippines titled “I Want to Run and Hug You.”

Wrapping up the successful 3-hour show, the actor expressed his gratitude and wish to return to the Philippines to meet his fans again. Some fans were treated to a hi-touch session at the end of the show.
