Lee Min-woo, 46, announced that he and his fiancée are expecting a child during the August 9 broadcast of KBS 2TV's reality show "Mr. House Husband 2." "She is not alone, there's a baby in her belly," he told viewers, confirming the pregnancy.

His fiancée is a third-generation Korean-Japanese single mother raising a six-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. The pair reportedly first met at a gathering of mutual acquaintances in January 2013, lost touch, then reconnected in 2018 and began dating several years later.

The couple conceived their child on a trip to Yangyang, Gangwon Province, and affectionately nicknamed the unborn baby "Yangyang." In a preview aired on August 7, Lee shyly introduced his fiancée and her daughter to the show's hosts, prompting co-host Eun Ji Won to exclaim, "You already have a family, a big one!" while fellow host Kim Won Hee was seen wiping away tears at the touching moment.

The episode also captured Lee's conversation with his parents about welcoming his extended family into their home. His father admitted he was initially puzzled but felt relieved when Lee explained his plans to care for the entire family, and his mother, after overcoming surprise, expressed her wish that her son be happy in his new role.

Lee opened up about financial challenges he has faced, including falling victim to a fraud scheme and lacking a steady income. He acknowledged, "I have a lot to think about, from housing to education." Nevertheless, he stressed the importance of having the baby in Korea "for my parents' sake as well" and voiced his hope that his fiancée and her daughter could move in with his parents if the family agrees.

Last month, Lee shared news of his impending marriage in a handwritten Instagram post. He described his fiancée as "a precious person I have known for a long time and share the same feelings with," and said the announcement marked the fulfillment of his dream to build a supportive family. A representative for Shinhwa confirmed that further details, including plans for a ceremony later this year, would be revealed on the show.

With this announcement, Lee becomes the fourth Shinhwa member to marry, following Eric, Jun Jin, and Andy, and to embark on fatherhood. His fans, collectively known as Shinhwa Changjo, have sent warm messages of congratulations across social media platforms.

Lee debuted with Shinhwa in 1998 and is best known for hit songs such as "Brand New" and "Perfect Man." Outside of music, he has pursued painting, holding his first solo art exhibition, "Purism," in June of this year. Viewers can look forward to Lee's personal journey and the growth of his new family on upcoming episodes, while fans also await details of the couple's wedding ceremony and the arrival of their first child together.
