According to her Instagram account, Ipsitaa is a singer, actor, dancer, and a Yale-educated behavioral scientist.

The track, titled “Kadar Na Jaane,” was actually released on September 11, but did not catch K-Pop fans’ attention until October when netizens noticed the similarities.

The video’s description seems to directly recognize these allegations, saying that the video was “inspired” by K-Pop music videos.

I’m back with a brand new music video to sweep you off your feet and take you on a visual adventure like no other. This one’s inspired by KPop music videos by some extraordinary female groups and artists. We wanted to recreate and play with the worlds they’ve built, introducing them to India for the first time. This one is sure to make you groove 😉 🎶💃 Are you in?

While taking inspiration is one thing, many were uncomfortable with the level of similarities found in Ipsitaa’s video, and called them out in the video’s comments.

Whether or not this was purposely done to attract attention from K-Pop fans or not, the video seems to have been successful in this regard.
