Many reactions mocked the group by sharing the debut streams of other groups, many of which had a higher number than CORTIS.

Others defended the group, reminding of the short promotion period before the group’s debut and that CORTIS are a rookie group. Others felt that the group would not be able to avoid criticism, stating that if the streams were too high, they’d be accused of “payola.”

Free Cortis for real. They've barely even been out for a week.

People acting like this is bad, when a good number of 5th gen groups also started with smaller numbers.

Anyway, this is still pretty good, and looking forward to seeing them grow. 🤷🏽‍♀️ https://t.co/jZxn8R6tKB pic.twitter.com/ph9stQNfUG

So are we really gonna complain and compare.

If the streams are low, you'll say flop – if the streams are high, you'll say payola.

Pick a goddamn choice what u really want. https://t.co/N5SuWgjJbg
