SHINee's Key and Minho lit up the stage at SMTOWN Live 2025 in Seoul on January 11 to 12 to celebrate SM Entertainment's 30th anniversary. Despite Onew and Taemin's absence, the duo captivated the crowd with their fiery performances.
As the two icons showcased their charisma and their signature chaotic energy, only a few seemed to realize that Key was battling a bad cold throughout the event.

Ahead of Day 2, Key, real name Kibum, took to the fandom-communicating platform, Bubble, to apologize in advance to Shawols (SHINee's fans) as he would miss the "Hope" ending stage with his fellow SMTOWN artists due to his worsened condition.
Fans then urged him to sit out of the event to focus on his recovery.
Despite his health struggles, the "Bad Love" singer still exhibited professionalism on the second day, completing his solo stages and flashing a warm smile at Shawols, together with Minho.
But a 13-second clip circulating on X showed the severity of Key's condition after his legs gave way while returning backstage. Luckily, Minho was quick to catch him and guided him down the stairs safely.
It was also fortunate that the incident occurred a couple of feet away from the edge of the stage, or it could've been more serious.
As the footage makes its rounds online, Shawols flocked to social media to praise his dedication to serving a flawless performance. Still, they hoped that his passion wouldn't come at the cost of his health.
"Please take a break. Your health is more important than anything," one fan urged.
"Oh my gosh, my heart is breaking. What would have happened if Minho weren't there with you?" added another worried Shawol.
"My heart is in so much pain and there he is asking us for forgiveness when he gave his everything even though he was in a very bad condition. We don't deserve you Kibum," a fellow fan commented.
