BTS Suga has released a handwritten apology.

On the 25th, Suga posted a lengthy handwritten apology through Weverse and stated:

Hello. This is Suga.

I would like to apologize to you all again with an embarrassed heart.

I deeply apologize for disappointing and hurting my fans and everyone who loves me with my wrong actions. I forgot my sense of responsibility to repay the love I have received with my actions and made a big mistake. On the night of August 6, I made the mistake of riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk after drinking. I also apologize for causing so much confusion with my first apology that I hastily uploaded on the 7th. I should have thought more deeply and been more careful, but I was unable to do so.

It is all my fault. My recklessness is making it difficult for everyone who cares for me. I will try not to do the wrong thing again and live my life in remorse. Because of this incident, I have tarnished the precious memories I made with the members and fans, and I have tarnished the name of BTS. I am so sorry and in pain that it's difficult to express how much I have harmed the members and the team. I am sorry that the members who have always believed in me have had a hard time because of me.

I also know very well how disappointed the fans who have supported and cheered me on must have felt. I am only sorry to the fans who have always given me so much love despite my shortcomings. I know that it is difficult to heal the wounds and disappointments the fans have received with words, so I deeply regret it and reflect with a heavy heart every day. I once again sincerely apologize to the fans who have been hurt because of me.

I will willingly accept any punishment that may be imposed in the future, as well as criticism and reprimands.

Lastly, I once again bow my head and sincerely apologize for causing social controversy and disappointing many people.

Meanwhile, this is Suga's 2nd apology. Suga admitted to the drunk driving charges during police questioning on the 23rd at the Yongsan Police Station in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

At the time, Suga told reporters, "I'm so sorry for causing so much hurt and disappointment with my wrong actions. I'm deeply reflecting and regretting it. I will make sure this never happens again. I really want to apologize to many people who loved me."

Suga is currently serving as a social service worker and is scheduled to be discharged in June 2025.
