Some 3rd generation K-Pop idols have gone on to debut as K-Drama actors. These stars have captivated audiences in everything from thrillers to romances, but who is the best idol-turned-actor of all? Fans voted in a poll to determine the ranking. These are the top 5 results.
5. Ju-ne (iKON)
First up on the list is Ju-ne, who debuted as a K-Drama actor in 2023. That year, he appeared in two K-Dramas, True to Love and Twinkling Watermelon. He landed his first main role in 2024, in Marry You. Ju-ne received 2% of the vote (307 votes).
4. Jinyoung (GOT7)
Jinyoung made his K-Drama acting debut in Dream High 2 (2012), followed by When a Man Falls in Love (2013) and This is My Love (2015). He landed his first starring role in 2019, in He Is Psychometric. Most recently, Jinyoung starred in the 2025 K-Drama The Witch. He received 5% of the vote (670 votes).
3. Cha Eunwoo (ASTRO)
Cha Eunwoo has become a popular choice for romance fans, but he has also acted in other genres. He made his TV K-Drama acting debut in the 2017 series Hit the Top and is best known for his starring roles in Gangnam Beauty (2018), Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (2019), and True Beauty (2020–2021)–just to name a few! Most recently, he appeared in the 2024 series Wonderful World. Cha Eunwoo received 6% of the vote (857 votes).
2. D.O. (EXO)
After making a cameo as himself in the 2012 K-Drama To the Beautiful You, D.O. went on to play the role of a high school student in It’s Okay, That’s Love in 2014 and a chilling villain in Hello Monster in 2015. Since then, he has continued acting in other K-Dramas, including Bad Prosecutor (2022) and Heo’s Diner (2025). He received 11% of the vote (1,467 votes).
