In the current Korean society, which public figures hold the most influence? To find an answer to this question, the Sisa Journal conducts a yearly survey, asking both citizens and experts to name the personalities in different fields that make Korea move.
According to its last survey, the category of broadcasting and entertainment is dominated by a veteran TV personality, who even defeated Korea’s soft power giants like BTS and BLACKPINK.

According to the survey, the most influential TV personality is none other than the “Nation’s MC,” Yoo Jae Suk!

Both normal civilians (70.4%) and experts(53.2%) selected Yoo with an overwhelming majority as the top-most influential figure in this field.
According to citizens’ opinions, BTS was the second-most influential figure (31.4%), followed by comedian and entertainer Kang Ho Dong (13.8%).
On the other hand, experts named BTS(23.6%) in the second position, and BLACKPINK (9.0%) in the third.
Some other names mentioned in the list include IU, Lim Young Woong, and journalist Kim Ou Joon.
This marked Yoo Jae Suk’s second consecutive win in this category. In 2024, his name was also at the top of the list, followed by BTS, Kang Ho Dong, and NJZ (NewJeans), among others.
The results have been met with a largely positive response from netizens, highlighting Yoo Jae Suk’s extensive outreach as a celebrity.
