The performers for the upcoming 39th Golden Disc Awards have been announced.
On December 9, the Golden Disc Awards officially updated its performer lineup, which consists of various K-pop artists. According to the announcement, the second set was comprised of K-pop acts such as aespa, SEVENTEEN, GFRIEND, DAY6, ILLIT, (G)I-DLE Yuqi, izna, ENHYPEN, IVE, and NOWADAYS.
Notably, aespa has had a great run this 2024, as the quartet stormed the K-pop charts with their hits "Supernova," "Armageddon," and "Whiplash." SEVENTEEN's appearance is also much expected since this will mark the boy group's 10th consecutive time at the awards show.
Among all artists in the lineup, attention is also focused on GFRIEND, who are welcomed by fans around the globe for its scheduled 10th-anniversary activities as a full group. GFRIEND has also won the Rookie of the Year Award at the 30th GDAs in 2016, as well as the Best Female Group Award at the 32nd GDAs in 2018.
An initial announcement of its first lineup was made earlier on December 3, including big K-pop names such as NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, BIBI, TXT, ZEROBASEONE, NCT WISH, Crush, TWS, and KISS OF LIFE.
In other news, the 39th Golden Disc Awards released its list of nominees, who received nods in categories Digital Song Division, Album Division, and Rookie Artist of the Year.
