'5th-Gen It Girl'? Shocking Crowd Appeared When THIS Idol Turned Airport Into Runway

This rookie star deserves to be called "It Girl" among the 5th-gen idol after she attracted a massive crowd during her solo airport arrival.

On August 18, YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER proved their status as "5th-gen leader" after gracing the stage of "Summer Sonic 2024," Japan's largest urban music festival.

Despite having just debuted in April this year, the group amassed a large number of spectators for their performance.

Then, on Aug. 19, Ahyeon, inarguably the rookie group's most popular member, was spotted returning to Seoul, landing at Incheon International Airport at around 11:30 p.m.

Although it was a weekday and almost midnight, an overwhelming crowd welcomed her return at the airport, journalists and fans alike. Ahyeon also didn't disappoint with her presence and model-like figure when she entered the gate in an all-black 'fit.

With her graceful walk, waves, and smiles, she turned the airport into her own runway!

Shortly after, the idols' photos spread online, earning rave reviews. But she wasn't only lauded because of her looks but of her professionalism as well.

While the crowd may be a burden to a rookie especially when alone, Ahyeon handled the situation calmly and made sure to greet them and receive their gifts well.

She also showed her concern when someone got pushed over as the crowd intensified. She continuously waved at fans even when she rode the car.

Seeing her photos and videos, some were worried about her safety and security, but K-Netz were surprised by the level of her popularity even when alone.

With this, people already consider her the 5th-gen "It Girl," succeeding Jung Krystal, BLACKPINK Jennie, and IVE Jang Wonyoung.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER became a hot topic on various portals for their "Super Sonic in Japan" performance.

During the show, they heated up the stage with a live performance of "SHEESH." They then continued by showing off their various charms with "BATTER UP," "STUCK IN THE MIDDLE," "LIKE THAT," and "FOREVER."

After performing a total of 8 songs for about 40 minutes, the septet greeted the audience and said:

"We are happy that you enjoyed it. We are grateful and happy that we could show you a live performance on such a wonderful stage."

Beyond Korea, they continuously cement their popularity in Japan by releasing the Japanese version of their pre-debut song, "BATTER UP," on August 16.
