While international netizens loved the outfits, Korean netizens were more divided.

Some majorly criticized the “exposing” nature of the outfit, even comparing it to underwear, and others didn’t mind the sexiness but just didn’t think it suited Jennie. Yet, others defended Jennie, explaining that she is allowed to wear what she wants, and it isn’t surprising, especially compared to other things the idol has worn and the fact the show was overseas.
