After being the first BTS member to be discharged, Jin has been booked and busy. On November 15, he is set to release his album Happy. Jin already released a video for his pre-release song “I’ll Be There,” raising anticipation for his album.

Recently, a more detailed preview of Jin’s album became available on Spotify.

When the photo was shared, netizens shared their thoughts on the fact that all (except one) songs were below three minutes long.

In particular, it seems to be a growing trend within K-Pop, so fans shared their confusion and sadness about the rising popularity of shorter songs. Many hated how platforms like TikTok seemingly promoted shorter songs, making it more common for songs which results in much shorter albums. Yet, despite concerns, it didn’t stop fans from being very excited about Jin’s album, but they were sharing concerns for the trend that seems to be becoming more normal in K-Pop.

It isn’t the first artist to spark fears for the growing trend, as TXT‘s recent album surprised fans, with the total for six songs being only 14 minutes.
