K-pop duo Davichi (Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung) is set to embark on a fresh musical adventure with their upcoming collaboration with singer-songwriter Lee Mu-jin.
Their new single, “Time Capsule,” will drop on the 16th, marking their first release in six months since the DS album I Want to Sing came out in April.
Lee Mu-jin takes the reins on lyrics, composition, and arrangement, promising to refresh Davichi’s signature sound and bring a vibrant new synergy to the track. The two artists’ connection goes back five years to JTBC’s Singer Again, where Lee Hae-ri served as a judge and Lee Moo-jin competed as a contestant. Now reunited as producer and artist, their shared history adds emotional depth and resonance to the song.
The recently revealed lyrics—“A memory from a very distant past, what kind of dream did I have”—have sparked fan interpretations and curiosity, showcasing Davichi’s hallmark lyrical sensitivity.
Adding to the excitement, Davichi recently wiped their official Instagram, signaling a bold new start alongside the release of Time Capsule. This move highlights a fresh musical direction and demonstrates a creative, platform-savvy promotional approach unique to the duo.
In the meantime, Davichi continues to engage fans worldwide through live performances, while Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung connect with audiences via their personal YouTube channels, sharing both music and glimpses of daily life.
