Golden Child’s New Chapter: A 7-Member Group

Woollim Entertainment has officially announced a major shake-up in the beloved boy group, Golden Child.

In a detailed statement, Woollim Entertainment revealed that they have successfully renewed contracts with five members of Golden Child: Lee Jang-jun, Bae Seung-min, Bong Jae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, and Hong Joo-chan. These renewals signify the agency’s commitment to continue fostering the careers of these artists. Additionally, they confirmed that the contracts for members Lee Dae-yeol and Y are still in effect, ensuring their ongoing participation in the group.

The agency further explained that, as of this announcement, TAG, Jibeom Kim, and Bomin Choi are no longer under contract with Woollim Entertainment. Their departure marks the end of an era for Golden Child as a 10-member group, and the start of a new chapter as a 7-member ensemble.

Woollim Entertainment expressed gratitude to the fans and emphasized their dedication to the remaining members. They assured fans that they would provide unwavering support and invest heavily in the group’s future activities, aiming to enhance and spotlight the talents of the 7-member Golden Child.

This reorganization represents a new phase for Golden Child, with the group now composed of Lee Dae-yeol, Y, Lee Jang-jun, Bae Seung-min, Bong Jae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, and Hong Joo-chan. Woollim Entertainment’s commitment to the group suggests that they will continue to be a significant presence in the K-pop industry, with plans to evolve and grow despite the lineup changes.
