“Melon Music Awards” Marks Ceremony In November

The Melon Music Awards (MMA), hosted by Kakao Entertainment’s music platform Melon, is set to take place on November 30th at Inspire Arena, welcoming fans from Korea and around the globe.

Kakao Entertainment announced that the 16th Melon Music Awards, known as MMA2024, will be held at Inspire Arena on Yeongjong Island, Incheon, for the second consecutive year. Once again, Kakao Bank will serve as the title sponsor for the event. This prestigious awards ceremony and festival has become Korea’s largest music event, celebrating artists’ achievements based on Melon’s objective data, user voting, and expert evaluations. Since its inception online in 2005, MMA has grown into a major annual event, transitioning to offline festivities in 2009, where fans and artists come together. The event is particularly recognized for its inclusivity, offering reasonable ticket prices and remaining accessible to all music fans.

This year’s MMA2024 carries the slogan “New Stream of K-POP,” reflecting Melon’s vision to introduce fresh trends and directions in the K-pop industry. As a leading music platform that has shaped the domestic music industry and established a legal digital music market over the past 20 years, Melon aims to showcase a new world of K-pop at MMA2024, engaging K-pop enthusiasts worldwide.

Inspire Arena, operated by Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, is Korea’s first multipurpose indoor performance venue with a seating capacity of 15,000. It boasts a world-class sound system, a versatile stage design, and an audience-friendly layout that enhances interaction between artists and fans without obstructing views.

Melon is gearing up for the event with a series of pre-promotions, including MMA2024 ticket giveaways and opportunities to relive legendary MMA performances. Fans can participate in TOP10 and category voting, with all major announcements and events being shared through the official MMA2024 page on Melon.
