Pacific Music Group, the global entertainment company co-founded by NE-YO, MC Jin, Sonu Nigam, and Jonathan Serbin, today announced the launch of Family Style Records, its new Hip-Hop imprint led by MC Jin. The debut coincides with the release of Jin’s new single, “Humble Flex,” arriving in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month.
Family Style Records launches with an initial roster that reflects its international and genre-fluid vision, including MC Jin alongside rising artists Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA, whose upcoming collaborative single, “DRESS2KILL,” arrives in early June. The label also welcomes NADA (Nada Askana), the Indonesian rapper, singer, and dancer, signed to PMG; and KHANTRAST, the Brooklyn-bred Chinese-American rapper known for viral anime-inspired freestyles and his breakout drill hit “Landed in Brooklyn,” now signed for exclusive Asia management.
“The idea of everyone coming together for a meal really captures the spirit of what Hip-Hop means to me. With the launch of the label, our goal is to provide artists an opportunity to continue cooking up authentic flavors for the world audience. Family Style. Everybody eats!” said President, MC Jin.
The new imprint marks Pacific Music Group’s continued expansion as it builds a modern platform connecting Asian talent with worldwide audiences. Focused on boundary-pushing Hip-Hop voices from across Asia and the diaspora, Family Style Records aims to spotlight artists shaping the future of Hip-Hop.
“MC Jin and PMG share a vision about Hip-Hop’s rise in Asia, and Jin’s own involvement has been a big part of that. With Asian style and culture already influencing global Hip-Hop trends, this market is set to become a global force within this decade,” adds Jonathan Serbin, Co-Founder and CEO of Pacific Music Group.
MC Jin’s new single, “Humble Flex,” serves as the first release from this new chapter. Blending sharp lyricism with modern production, the track reflects Jin’s evolution as both an artist and cultural trailblazer. Its arrival during AAPI Heritage Month adds significance to one of Hip-Hop’s pioneering Asian American voices.

About Family Style Records
Spearheaded by Asian-American Rap pioneer MC Jin, Family Style Records marks Pacific Music Group’s latest step in building a stronger pipeline between Asia and the global Hip Hop market. With a diverse roster that includes Korean alternative Hip Hop siblings Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA, 13-year-old Indonesian Rap prodigy NADA and Chinese-American breakout star Khantrast (Asia management), MC Jin and his family of artists embark on a powerful new chapter rooted in culture, innovation, and global reach. As cultural influence continues to rise across Asia, Pacific Music Group stands at the forefront of a new era connecting artists, audiences, and communities worldwide.
MC Jin
MC Jin (Jin Au-Yeung) is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, comedian, and cultural pioneer born on June 4, 1982, in Miami, Florida, to Hong Kong immigrant parents. He rose to national prominence in 2002 on BET’s “Freestyle Friday,” winning seven straight rap battles and earning induction into the show’s Hall of Fame — a breakthrough that led him to sign with Ruff Ryders Entertainment, making him the first Asian-American solo rapper signed to a major U.S. label. In 2004, Jin released his major-label debut, The Rest Is History, which peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single “Learn Chinese,” his signature track produced with Wyclef Jean. Over his career, he has released multiple albums and mixtapes — including ABC (2007), a mostly Cantonese LP celebrating his identity as an American-born Chinese — and has charted a global path between the U.S. and Asia. Jin has also built a prolific acting résumé, appearing in major films such as 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Man with the Iron Fists, Revenge of the Green Dragons, Monster Hunter, and more, as well as TV and documentary projects that trace his cultural journey. Beyond music and film, he has expanded into comedy and media, including recurring performances on VH1’s Wild ’N Out.
KHANTRAST
Asian-American rapper Khantrast combines deep, resonant vocals with sharp, rapid-fire articulation. Known for his versatility, he blends genres spanning Trap, R&B, and NY drill. He frequently collaborates with other creators in the anime rap community and is celebrated for integrating his bilingual skills—often mixing in Mandarin Chinese. Khantrast began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2017, and has since caught on with viral hits like ‘Naruto Bluebird Freestyle and ‘Valedictorian’. Born in Brooklyn to Chinese immigrants, Khantrast heavily features his identity as an Asian-American child of immigrants in his music. Much of his work, such as the viral single “Landed in Brooklyn,” highlights the intersection of traditional Chinese culture and classic New York street life, bridging the gap between his parents’ immigrant hustle and modern city life.
Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA
Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA are a Korean sibling duo redefining genre, identity, and creative independence within the global music landscape. Reared in the cultural melting pot of Miami, Florida on Bass music and Dirty South hip-hop, the two moved back to Korea, where they combined their influences into a sonic stew that is both bass heavy and light hearted. Known for their raw, emotional messaging, avant-garde visuals and fashion, and fearless experimentation, the pair seamlessly blend hip-hop and alternative pop, electronic textures and underground aesthetics into a sound uniquely their own.
NADA
At just 13 years old, NADASKANA, known to her fans simply as NADA, is already rewriting the rules of what’s possible in Hip-Hop. Born and raised in Indonesia, this speed-rapping prodigy has taken the internet by storm with a voice that hits harder and faster than most artists twice her age. What sets NADA apart isn’t just her technical skill — it’s her authenticity. With over 450K followers on Instagram and 600K on TikTok, every fan in her rapidly growing community found her organically, drawn in by jaw-dropping covers of global icons including XG, Eminem, BTS, and BLACKPINK. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just raw talent and relentless passion. Now, NADA is ready to take the next step. She has signed her first record deal, a 360 agreement with PMG, and will release music under the Family Style Records imprint.
