PENOMECO Ushers In A New Era With Bold And Genre-Bending EP “RNSSNC TAPE”

Acclaimed Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer PENOMECO returns with his long-awaited new project, “RNSSNC TAPE“, out now via ECO GROUP and Kakao Entertainment. Marking his first release in over a year, the 8-track EP signals a powerful artistic rebirth, reaffirming his place as one of Korea’s most genre-defying and visionary artists.

The EP’s title — derived from the word “Renaissance” — reflects not only a cultural revival but also PENOMECO’s personal transformation. Over the past decade, he has evolved from a behind-the-scenes hitmaker to a full-fledged solo artist with a distinct creative voice. A founding member of the alternative hip-hop collective FANXY CHILD (with ZICO, DEAN, Crush, Millic, and Stay Tuned), PENOMECO has shaped the sound of modern K-Pop while remaining fiercely independent and innovative.

Opening with the explosive ‘RNSSNC‘, the EP immediately sets a thematic tone of ambition and reinvention. The title track ‘EGGE (feat. YDG)‘ reunited PENOMECO with actor-artist YDG (of “Squid Game 3“) following their viral 2023 hit ‘BOLO‘. The track playfully flips the Korean expression 에걔 (egyae) into a rhythmic, Latin pop-infused banger, showcasing PENOMECO’s lyrical wit and bold sonic choices.

The EP traverses a wide emotional and musical range — from the melancholic unraveling in ‘Dance With Me‘ and ‘Leave Without You (feat. Moon SuJin)‘, to the chaotic romance of ‘My Chick (feat. Lil Cherry)‘, and the experimental swagger of ‘KK‘. The closing track, a euphoric electronic remix of fan-favorite ‘COCO BOTTLE‘ by DJ/producer APRO, ties the project together with summer-ready energy.
