SM Entertainment is gearing up for an unforgettable start to 2025 with their upcoming SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in Seoul, set to take place on January 11 and 12 at the Olympic Stadium.
The agency has announced a unique mix-up event involving its artists and their most-lauded songs to mark its 30th anniversary.
The label released a set of teasers on January 7 that piqued fans' interest, hinting at artists intermingling their discographies for the hyped event.
Posters featured a "Ladder Game" connected the names of SM artists, suggesting remake performances of their top hits by their labelmates.
In a recent statement, SM Entertainment announced that the company would be releasing a special 30th-anniversary album, featuring remakes of hit tracks with brand-new interpretations.
"This special album will feature remakes of SM's representative hit songs, reinterpreted by senior and junior artists in each team's unique style," the agency said.
"It will give fans the chance to experience SM's beloved songs—moments of joy, sorrow, nostalgia, and dreams—in a whole new way."
The concert series is set to feature a star-studded lineup, including RIIZE, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, Super Junior, aespa, BoA, and WayV, with Taeyeon and Red Velvet's Wendy recently announcing that they won't be performing at the event.
